Built into a gently sloped, wooded lot, this outdoor living project centers on a striking stone-walled pool terrace designed for both quiet relaxation and large-scale entertaining. A rectangular pool with sleek finishes is framed by a substantial natural stone retaining wall, preserving a large saucer magnolia, which rises to meet a grand white pergola-covered lounge pavilion. The wood-beamed ceiling and integrated lighting creating a warm, inviting gathering space above the pool. A sunken fire pit lounge with swivel chairs offers a second cozy focal point for cooler evenings. Layered stone steps and terraced plantings connect each level of the space, and thoughtful landscape lighting throughout extends the retreat’s use well past sunset, giving this backyard the feel of a private countryside resort.
